Calhoun Photo Shoot

Sunday wasn't the greatest day for a photo shoot.  Huge, dark clouds filled the sky, chilly air nipped at small noses, and the wind whipped perfectly styled hair into a mess...but the Calhoun family and I made the best of it!  We met downtown at University Park and immediately had to break some laws (I'm assuming) by removing caution tape and barriers to the fountain so that we could get some pictures.  You do what you have to for picture opportunities!

And yes, the dolly had to be in the picture!

This family really knew how to have fun.  Despite dressing in their best, they played in the leaves, jumped up and down, and traipsed all over the park in search of the perfect photo spots.

I love this action shot, with the leaves still falling to the ground after being scooped up and thrown.  Silly kids!

Dean and Marieka were the cutest kids and so easy to photograph.  Dean was a natural at posing!  Every time I looked over, he was in a new position and ready to smile for the camera.  Marieka loved running around the park, but she too would look at the camera and say, "Cheeeeese!"

I could tell that Matt and Sabina are still madly in love as they joked back and forth with one another and stole little hugs and kisses along the way.  Dean and Marieka are so lucky to have such loving, doting parents!

Calhoun family, thank you for being such good sports despite the weather.  I hope you enjoy these teasers!

  2. WOW!!! I am so impressed!!! These pictures are awesome!! Just amazing! I like how you take pictures. You are very similar to who we hired for our reception. She liked to do action and non-traditional shots to bring the pictures to life. However, she was still amazing with traditional pictures. Keep up the great work, Alicia!! :)
